August Macke - lady in a green jacket

The expressionist work from 1913 shows a lonely woman surrounded by two couples. In the background of the picture, all elements can be seen twice, which gives the picture a special depth. As in his other works, all of the people shown look like faceless mannequins. The different colors reinforce the blurring of the scene, as if soft pastel colors had been used instead of oil paint.
