René Magritte - The empty signature

One of the paintings that was completed towards the end of Magritte's life was the empty signature in 1965. The painting is also under the name Le Blanc Senge and La Carte Blanche. Magritte's paintings are often illogical and play with the mind of the viewer. The special thing about the empty signature is that it is literally illogical and contradictory because it is an optical deception.
