Vincent van Gogh - wheat field with cypress

A wheat field with cypress is one of three similar oil paintings from 1889. Everyone was exhibited in the nerve hospital of Saint-Rémy, where van Gogh was a voluntary patient. The works were inspired by the view from the window of the institution on the mountains of the Alpilles.
