Edvard Munch - Sick Mood at Sunset

This painting, dated in 1892, is the forerunner of the famous work "The Scream", as Munch himself wrote in his diary when he remembered the moment of fear, which took him in front of the clouds of a sunset in Oslo, which are flaming in the glares. The same diagonal perspective in both works underlines the extreme despair and panic of the moment.
