Salvador Dalí - the meditative rose

Dalí loved to take mythological topics in his paintings. In Greek mythology, the goddess of love, Aphrodite, was born with a white rose bush from the foam of the sea. The rose only got its red color through Aphrodite's adultery with the beautiful Adonis.
