Vincent van Gogh - olive trees

The olive groves around Saint-Rémy were a worthwhile motif for Van Gogh. He was fascinated by the constantly changing colors of the olive trees and tried to find a good way to paint their irregular growth. Its solution consisted of swirling brush strokes, bold contours around the tribes and stylized blue shadows.
